Los Túneles

Today we joined a tour (10 people total) to go to Los Túneles. Los Túneles is where the eruptions from two volcanos formed lava arcs (tubes) when the lava flowed into the ocean. We had to reach Los Túneles by taking a 45 minute boat ride.
On the way we passed a large rock out cropping that was home to blue footed boobies. The captain drove around the rock at a slow speed so we could get a good look at these birds.

We went on our way to the lava tubes. We saw lots of sea turtles. They were swimming all over the place. As we were headed into the lava tube area we saw a large shark swimming, manta rays, big fish and more sea turtles. The captained stopped and let us out to walk around the lava fields.

All boats have at least 2 outboard engines
We moved on to another part Los Túneles where we went snorkeling. We swam for about an hour with white tipped sharks, sea turtles, and many colorful fish. After snorkeling, the boat captain provided lunch. We ate our tuna sandwich, an apple, and a boxed drink then headed back to shore.
It was a great day with lots of sunshine.

  2. Great boobies Batman. I really hate having to prove I am not a robot to a robot. Seems counter to logic. Does the blog rpbot think its human and has tp protect its identity or is it afraid of itself?
